Welcome to my Blog

My name is David Rotimi, the Director of Door Art.
Door Art is an art company in Nigeria that makes greeting cards and other related hand crafted works for sale. I began  making cards in junior secondary school, it started with an assignment and it was good, so i took interest and i naturally had a flare for the art and design. I started off in my room in my first year in university, now I'm in my second year and only God is to thank for his mercies and such good speed, who would hav eimagined such speed in such little time. The Bible Says that Whatever I lay my hands upon to do will prosper. and thats what He has done in my life.

Now there are four of us who are working together in order to meet the demand of the malls we are supplying; Sekemi Oye, Ema Ibanga and Ada Umeh. I know God will still increase us as we procede in Jesus name.

My Inspiration comes from God the author and the finisher of my faith, who has put His spirit within me and is the source of my inspiration, and though my beginning be small my latter end shall be exceeding great.

in my room
in my room also
I believe in making cards as personal as possible and every card I make is like a work of art to me, I do not like to repeat my designs cause I love the uniqueness of each for every person i make them for.

In my cards I have nothing written in them because I believe that no card maker or poet can really describe how you feel and how best you feel like expressing it. I only create space for them and then you write whatever you want, I prefer clients writing in their own handwriting even though it's not so good, the idea is to make it as personal as possible.
That is my own view about the wording that are in the cards.

"for me, every card I make is a work of art, so i treat it as such"

where it really started from in large scale. when I started to supply a shopping mall, God really helped me and then He enlarged the whole business.
My parents( Rev. Rotimi David and Pst. Mrs. Bosede Rotimi ) have been really supportive and I thank God for their lives. My Dad did some of these things when he was in the university too, so maybe it flows in the blood. God bless you mum and Dad.
I also want to thank my friends who helped me start this up and also help me in my design and are my closest critics, Ekomobong Uddo-Affah, Abisola Oluwadamilola, my friends who are also artists, thank you so much.

Here are some birthday cards we supplied to the Covenant University Shopping Mall.

the pictures were not properly taken, but this will improve by God's Grace.
